Dorcas Ettang is a Consultant, having worked with organisations including the Legal Resource Centre in Johannesburg and the Inter-agency Child Protection Assessment Coordinator: Northern Syria. With a PhD in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies and 10 years’ experience working on African peace and security, she lectured previously at the University of KwaZulu Natal and worked at the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes in South Africa, the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Ghana, and the United Nations Headquarters in New York. She has carried out research, training and has published work on peace and conflict issues in countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Burundi, South Sudan, Sudan, Liberia, Kenya and South Africa. She is a recipient of the South African National Research Foundation Doctoral Scholarship Awards. She is also a member of the Golden Key South Africa, and an Associate of the Nigerian Leadership Initiative (NLI).
